The 1964 Society: Planned Giving

"I decided to include Bishop McNamara High School as a beneficiary in my estate planning for several reasons.  I believe in the school's commitment to providing students with the best education possible in a nurturing environment that promotes leadership, academic excellence, and a Christ-centered life.  My daughter was awarded a full 4-year academic scholarship at Bishop McNamara at a time when I was struggling financially.  That scholarship enabled her to thrive both academically and socially at Bishop McNamara and led to a full academic scholarship at St. Mary's College and a successful career in Finance.   I have always wanted to pay it forward to other deserving Bishop McNamara students by providing financial assistance to the school.   Naming Bishop McNamara High School as one of the beneficiaries in my estate will set up a permanent scholarship fund in the future that will benefit other deserving students and their families."

"When Peggy and I began working on our wills and doing our estate planning, we wanted to provide as much as possible for our loved ones. Among those loved ones is Bishop McNamara High School. We have witnessed our son, Trey, develop into an outstanding, family man as a proud 2004 graduate. And we have seen the genuine enthusiasm of the staff and how hard students work. Bishop McNamara is not just a school to us. It is a place that mirrors our values. It was an easy decision for us to make Bishop McNamara a part of our planned giving, and we will continue to do as much as we can for as long as we can in the future."
