The Digital Making Class at Bishop McNamara was working this week on a project that involved making a boat. The students were tasked to create a boat with any materials that were in the CITE Lab.
The students were told that the boat needed to:
The mystery requirement turned out to be that the boat would be able to move under wind; however, students did not know this until after they turned in the completed boats.
The class tested the results and then discussed everything about the process.
These activities help students to collaborate and problem solve, coming up with innovative solutions for tasks given.
