Bishop McNamara High School Principal, Mrs. Dian A. Carter, was featured recently in The Prince George's Post, the community newspaper for Prince George's County.
Under the headline "Bishop McNamara High School Names Principal, Dian Carter - Longtime educator takes helm as school’s first African American female principal" the article proudly announces that Mrs. Carter has been named the school's twelfth principal in its 56-year history.
In the article, Dr. Marco Clark '85 President/CEO of BMHS was quoted as saying, “I could not be more enthusiastic about our school’s future under Mrs. Carter’s leadership. She’s been a trailblazer throughout her career. A true Holy Cross educator and terrific role model for the staff, student body, and community, the school will continue to prosper and flourish with her at the helm as she is tireless in her commitment to helping students “To Think with Christ,” as claimed in our school motto. Indeed, Dian Carter is a transformational leader and I hope she will lead [the school] for many years in this influential role.”
Congratulations to Mrs. Carter and we enthusiastically welcome her in this new role!
