On Thursday, May 13th, Bishop McNamara High School celebrated the past, present, and future of Project P.R.I.D.E.'s vision and success! Along with Director, Tia Bell, and Assistant Director, Herman Frazier, Project PRIDE students lead the audience of school administrators, staff, faculty, benefactors, parents, and alumni, on a journey through the program's history to the current mission for today.
The Project PRIDE Program was established at Bishop McNamara in 1999 as an admissions inclusion program geared towards assisting students who could benefit from additional academic, social, and emotional development. These students are eligible for special scholarships created to support the program.
"It was a joy watching our students lead us through a powerful ceremony accompanied by our beloved leadership, staff, benefactors, parents, and alumni!" shared PRIDE Director, Tia Bell. "We officially welcomed our Assistant Director, Herman Frazier, and publicly shared our new and improved mission of positively reinforcing independence, determination, and excellence," she added.
The ceremony was virtual and recorded along with the Voices of PRIDE, which are shared below.
Congratulations to our graduating PRIDE Senior Class of 2021 and all the underclassmen PRIDE members.
