Today begins Key Club’s Awareness Week. The first topic Key Club would like to bring awareness to is mental health. In today’s world, over 44 million American adults suffer from a mental health condition. With the age of diagnosed mental issues getting lower and lower, the rate at which mental health conditions are rising is becoming highly alarming. For example, Depression in youth has risen from 11.93% to 12.63% also showing that 62% of those children haven’t gotten treatment. If you or anyone you know may be experiencing from a mental health issue, please check out mentalhealthAmerica.net and don’t feel shy to speak out.

The 1st Annual BMHS DAY OF GIVING: Pi Day is almost here! Our goal for our day of giving by midnight on 3/14 is to raise $31,415 - the first five digits of pi.Pi Day, which falls on 3/14 since three, one and four are the first three digits of PI, was chosen because BMHS math students and teachers have celebrated the mathematical constant π for many years. Gifts can be directed to The Bishop McNamara Fund, which supports our areas of greatest need, or to the Bishop McNamara department, scholarship, or group that means the most to the donor. Please remind your parents and alumni to share a piece π with BMHS on 3/14! Please give!
