Mr. Greer is in his 13th year teaching at Bishop McNamara High School where he teaches the Ecumenical and Inter-religious Issues component of the Theology 11 course, The Holocaust: An Inter-Disciplinary Approach, and AP Psychology. Additionally, Mr. Greer has taught Theology 9, Theology 10, and Theology 12, as well as an elective entitled "Religion and Society."  Outside of the classroom, Mr. Greer is the Moderator of the Moreau Scholar Society where he has the pleasure to work with a number of talented students.

This year, Mr. Greer has returned to coaching women's lacrosse, a program he helped to found in 2006.  Coach Greer served as the first varsity head coach for the program, compiling a winning record while helping a number of student athletes achieve their goal of playing lacrosse at the collegiate level.  This year, he returns to the field as a goalie coach, excited to work with a new generation of BMHS lacrosse players.

Mr. Greer, a resident of Bowie, MD and a graduate of St. John DeMatha Catholic High School, graduated from Gettysburg College where he was a triple major in History, Psychology, and Religion. While at Gettysburg College, Mr. Greer also worked in the College Admissions Office where he served in many different capacities ranging from Tour Guide to Program Coordinator and Intern. Mr. Greer earned his Master’s Degree at Georgetown University through the Liberal Studies Program. His Master’s Thesis was entitled “The Role of National Parishes within Ethnic Enclaves on the Americanization Process of Catholic Immigrants through Baltimore Ports” where he looked at how Italian and Polish immigrants entered into mainstream America with the help of the Catholic Church.

Outside of school Mr. Greer is an avid sports fan and outdoorsman who especially loves baseball and camping. Mr. Greer is also an avid reader and researcher who enjoys the small library in his house. Most weekends, Mr. Greer may be found reading a book, outside enjoying nature, or glued to a TV cheering on one of his favorite sports teams and of course spending time with his wife, two children, and three dogs.

The purpose of each of Mr. Greer's classes is to develop a student's ability to read for content, write, research, present information effectively, and think critically. Furthermore, Mr. Greer strives to meet his students where there are while endeavoring to educate both the heart and the mind.
