Dawnica Green is a 2001 Bishop McNamara Alum. She graduated in 2005 as a Pre-Med Major with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. While obtaining her degree she cheered for 4 years at her college and served as captain of the varsity team.
With over 19 years of cheerleading and dance experience, she has cheered and competed at every level of cheerleading including all star and collegiate levels. She has been teaching and leading instructional cheerleading and choreography camps throughout the USA over the past 14 years. Dawnica has been an instructor, choreographer and camp director for Spirit Unlimited Cheer and Dance Company and served as staff trainer, instructor, and camp director for Elite Cheerleading and Dance Company. She has experience coaching for middle school and high school and coached for a nationally ranked All Star program for 9 years where she served as director of choreography. She holds national judging certifications from NCJC, Jam Brands and Varsity Brands. She holds safety certifications from the American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Advisors (AACCA) and United States All Star Federation (USASF). She has also been featured in three nationally circulated instructional cheerleading videos. She has judged local and national competitions for various companies and organizations including Cheer Ltd., Elite Cheer, Maryland State High School Cheerleading Association, Spirit Unlimited, Colorado State All Star Championships, CHEERSPORT, Great Lakes Cheerleading Company, American Cheer and Dance Academy and Coastal Cheer and Dance and internationally for the British Cheerleading Association.
Coach D as she is affectionately called will be entering her 5th year as Head Coach for the BMHS cheer program. Professionally Dawnica is an Administrator for the District of Columbia Public School system.
