Mr. Keita Trae Malloy
Coach Malloy brings a variety of experience to his new positions at Bishop McNamara as the Assistant Athletic Director and the Head Varsity Football Coach. Following his graduation from the School, Malloy went on to The University of Delaware, where he was a three-year letter winner as wide receiver and defensive back. In his professional career, Malloy has coached football at such colleges and university as Lafayette College, the University of West Georgia, Fordham University, Old Dominion University, Hampton University and more.
Several football players and programs have benefitted from Malloy’s instruction and coaching. At the University of West Georgia, receiver Detron Harris set a single-season record of 63 catches in 2002 under Malloy’s careful direction; a record which helped Harris earn an invitation to training camp with the Tennessee Titans. During his second year at Old Dominion, Malloy’s team was named the winningest start-up Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) program with an 8-3 record, ranking eighth in scoring offense and generating approximately 33.55 points per game. These are but two examples of the results yielded from Malloy’s superb coaching.
Between 1994 and 1996 Malloy played Arena Football for the Massachusetts Marauders, the Albany Firebirds and Texas Terror. Malloy holds a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice/police science from The University of Delaware, and a Master’s degree in education from American Intercontinental University. His education and coaching experience allow Malloy to bring a unique perspective and new ideas to help advance the BMHS football program.
"We are excited to welcome Coach Malloy home to Bishop McNamara,” said BMHS President/CEO Dr. Marco Clark. “His love and passion for the school, wealth of experience at the collegiate level, and commitment to educating and forming our youth makes Coach Malloy a perfect fit."
