Spotlight on Students, Faculty, Staff, Alumni or Programs!
Last year, BMHS sent a request out to alumni and community members, asking them to produce works of art to represent the Stations of the Cross to display in the School. Once we completed construction of our Andy Mona '82 Student Center, the completed pieces were hung in the hallway across from the center, so that students can enjoy them and reflect upon them every day.
Photographer Terry Quinn, who owns Solomons Gallery located in Solomons, Md., produced Station Seven: Jesus Falls for the Second Time. For his piece, Terry photographed local business owner Buddy Harrison and showcased his work in the community helping the homeless.
Recently, East of the River magazine came to Bishop McNamara High School with Terry and Buddy to interview them both about the piece, and take photos at the School. Click here to read the full article.
If you have not seen the new Stations of the Cross represented in art on display in the Andy Mona '82 Student Center yet, please come by for a tour from one of our Advancement Team. Contact Advancement@bmhs.org for more information about this project.
