Swim Team Takes the Polar Bear Plunge for Special Olympics

Members of the BMHS Swim Team and their coaches get ready for the Polar Bear Plunge for Special OlympicsThis year the Bishop McNamara High School Swim Team is participating in the "Cool Schools" Polar Bear Plunge on Thursday January 24th to raise money and awareness for the Special Olympics. 

Each participant will raise $50 or more for their team which will go towards Special Olympic athletes to pay for funding such as transportation and uniforms.

This picture shows members of the team and coaches at a practice this week with speakers from the organization who came to inform our swim team why we plunge!

"We are all very excited to take the plunge together and want the school to know all about it," said Swim Team head coach Carly Evans. Go Mustangs!
