Liturgy & Worship

BMHS Family coming together in prayer and unity during liturgy

Each month the entire school gathers in our main gym for a liturgical celebration, which is most often a celebration of the Catholic Mass. Twice a year - once on Ash Wednesday, and once for the Senior Farewell in May - we have a special prayer service led by students.

We also have an optional Daily Mass in the Moreau Chapel on certain days (see below), which is a wonderful way to step back from the school day and collect ourselves in prayer. All people - students, faculty, staff, and parents - are welcome!  Additionally, the Sacrament of Reconciliation is available on certain Fridays throughout the school year, when possible through the generosity of our local priests.

Each school day begins with the entire school community pausing for Morning Prayer, which usually consists of a prayer written by a student Peer Minister being read over the PA by a different Peer Minister. In keeping with Bishop McNamara'a Catholic identity, each class period of the day also begins with a form of prayer led by the teacher.
