Catholic Schools Week

Happy Catholic Schools Week! Started in 1974, National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. It starts the last Sunday in January and runs all week, which this year will be this week of January 31 – February 6! Schools typically observe the annual celebration week with Masses, open houses and other activities for students, families, parishioners and community members.

Through these events, schools focus on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to our church, our communities and our nation. Catholic Schools Week gives our own school an opportunity to celebrate being a community that has an environment where the academic and spiritual growth of each student is fostered equally.

For more information about Catholic Schools Week and why we celebrate this important week in Catholic education, go to NCEA Catholic Schools Week.

Each day of this week we will be focusing on a different pillar that makes McNamara, McNamara.
