  • Parents/guardians will be given the opportunity to make 10 minute appointments with their child's teachers.
  • Dr. Traylor's email sent on February 28th, contains both instructions and a link to register for conferences.
  • Quarter 3 Progress reports were posted to MACCESS on February 27th.
  • Paper copies of Progress Reports WILL NOT be available on March 14th.
  • Please have your student's Progress Report on your personal device or print a copy of your student's report card from Maccess prior to arriving for Conferences.

Summer Camp 2019

Come join us for a fun, event filled summer at Bishop McNamara High School!

Our summer camp program offers a wide variety of experiences including:

Academic, Athletic, Fine Arts and Leadership-based Camps.

  • The BMHS Handbook states: "Students whose tuition is not up-to-date will not be allowed to attend overnight field trips."
  • Applies to all school trips ~ class related, fine arts, sports, service projects, etc.

  • Students with outstanding tuition obligations will not be permitted to take final exams.
  • Students may not take more than 2 exams per day. 
  • Students will receive a failing grade for any exam not completed within five working days from the date of the last normally scheduled exam.
  • BMHS reserves the right to revoke the 2019-2020 registration of a student whose tuition account is not current.
  • BMHS is not obligated to hold spaces for the upcoming school year for students whose financial obligations have not been satisfied.

Summer Plans?

Now is the time to begin thinking about what your student is doing over the summer.  As a college-prep high school, we believe that it is important that your student participate in meaningful summer enrichment opportunities, internships, classes, and/or jobs.

Junior Parent College Preparation Meeting

Tuesday, March 19th

6:30 PM ~ Andy Mona Center

Senior class Counselors, Ms. Auchmoody and Ms. Oglesby, will meet with junior parents to outline the steps they can take as they begin the college application process with their students. 

College Visits now open to the Class of 2020!

  • We encourage them to begin creating a list of colleges in which they are interested.
  • Students sign up via their Naviance account.
  • See Mrs. Mendiolia if they need assistance.

 Resource Help

  • Students having trouble in a particular class may always speak with their teacher to schedule extra help during Resource periods, PRIME Time Office Hours, before or after school.
  • The Counseling Center offers a Peer Tutoring program. Interested students should speak with his/her counselor to be matched with an appropriate peer tutor.
  • The Math Deparment offers regular after school help:

All financial obligations must be satisfied before records will be released. Contact our registrar, Ms. Shannon Brown, to request records. At least 48 hours advance notice is needed to produce official or unofficial records for any student.

Nurse's Notes

When your student is sick, please keep them home when they:

  • complain about feeling hot and cold
  • are extremely tired and have body aches
  • are vomiting or have diarrhea
  • have a distracting pain from a headache, ear ache, sore throat or recent injury
  • have yellow or green drainage from their eye

 Students with a fever need to stay home until they are fever free

for 24 hours without the use of Tylenol or Ibuprofen.
