Ms. Tiara Butler has joined the Bishop McNamara High School faculty as the Visual Arts teacher.
Ms. Butler has been the Lead Visual Arts Teacher for all grade levels in the DMV for seven years. In her first year of service, she was awarded Teacher of the Year at her campus. She was also awarded Most Inspiring and Most Personable by the student body. Her motto has always been, "I just might be their first introduction to how great God is." She takes great honor in knowing that she has the opportunity to have a positive and powerful impact on someone's life.
Gregory Harris
Coach
Mr. Gregory Harris joined Bishop McNamara in the fall of 2023. He is a native Washingtonian with an illustrious career in basketball before turning his passion for the game into another career in education with a focus on health and wellness. He is a product of the Archdiocese school system attending Catholic schools for his entire educational journey. He attended DeMatha High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in economics from Mount Saint Mary’s.
After college, he became a professional basketball player in the EURO league for 8 seasons. When he returned home, he shifted his focus and earned a Master's Degree in Education from the University of the District of Columbia.
Mr. Harris has held multiple positions in the fields of education, and in health and wellness including a coach, teacher, youth advocate, as well as a licensed athletic trainer.
