Mr. Daniel Nasry grew up in Oregon, spending a month every summer in his family's homeland, Egypt. He studied philosophy at Pomona College (of the Claremont Colleges), where he earned Academic All-American honors as a soccer player. After working with his campus ministry for several years, Mr. Nasry attended Princeton Theological Seminary to continue growing as a theologian and minister. He earned a Master of Divinity and a Master in Christian Education and Formation. After working in several different ministry capacities, Mr. Nasry moved to Washington, D.C. to live and work at a L'Arche home. As a Theology teacher at Bishop McNamara, Mr. Nasry loves helping students ask life's biggest questions, read the Bible with curiosity and openness, and share time with the God who loves us more than we can know.
Outside of the classroom, as the head coach for the Boys' JV Soccer team, Mr. Nasry seeks to develop skillful, disciplined, intelligent team players whose zest for the game spills over into the rest of their lives.
