Our Campus

Welcome to Bishop McNamara High School, Home of the Mighty Mustangs, housed on a beautiful 14-acre campus where opportunities abound.  With over 50 years of educating the hearts and minds of young people, our school is located just south of the Nation's Capital, Washington, D.C.,  north of Joint Base Andrews, and west of the Prince George's County seat, Upper Marlboro, Maryland. 

Whether you are visiting for the day, or planning for your daily school transportation, we have compiled some information to assist you with the best options.

Bishop McNamara High School - 6800 Marlboro Pike, Forestville, MD 20747

Exit from the Beltway (I-95/495) at 11B (Rt 4/Pennsylvania Avenue, West). Go to the second light and turn right on Donnell Drive (you are between two shopping malls). At the end of Donnell Drive, turn left on Marlboro Pike. The school is on the right about a quarter of a mile,  just before Mt. Calvary Church.

Transportation

Our students arrive on campus by several modes of transportation:
1) Private vehicle, 2) Carpool, 3) Metrorail and/or Metrobus, 4) Private bus service

Metrorail and Metrobus

Please contact WMATA for exact routes, times, and fees. Possible routes may take you to the Suitland Metro Station where you take the K12 Bus, or the Addison Road Metro Station where you may take the J12 Bus to the stop across from the school. Routes and stops may change from time to time so contact the WMATA for the latest information.

NOTE TO FAMILIES:
We highly recommend that you reach out to the various transportation companies as soon as possible to secure transportation for the 2025-2026 school year. Many companies create their routes based on demand.
