Bishop McNamara provides a great options for students to express their writing and photographic interests through student publications. With Poetic Justice/Inkwell, The Stampede Newspaper and the Stampede Online Newspaper, and the Yearbook, students have many opportunities to produce written and photographic works.
The Poetic Justice Club promotes creative writing and poetry throughout the school and provides a forum for creative writers. Specific events include the coffeehouses and the production of the literary magazine, The Inkwell, in the fall and in the spring.
The Stampede is the student newspaper of Bishop McNamara High School.
Produced by the journalism classes, The Stampede student newspaper -- which now includes an online version --- provides our community with news and stories about events and issues that impact our school. The paper is operated by students, who report, write, edit, design, photograph and produce videos and podcasts for publication. The moderator teaches students how to assemble a newspaper and coordinate all activities necessary for its production. The Stampede publishes between four and eight issues per year.

The BMHS Yearbook, Caritas, is an important part of a school's history and tradition as record of the evolution of the institution. A staff comprised of a faculty moderator and students work through the school year, primarily after school to create the book. Layout design, copy, and photography are created by the staff, which is a group that draws from a diverse group of students in all grade ranges.
