Hampton University hosted a High School Leadership Summit, designed to help rising high school juniors and seniors find the "leader within." Our own Jonathan Brown '18 attended the summit, and said he greatly enjoyed it!
Hampton University has hosted the event in the past, though previously the Summit was given over the course of a weekend. Since its inception, the program has been expanded into a week-long Summit with a whole new itinerary. This included several hands-on activities, along with a trip to the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C.
Thought-provoking breakout sessions, hosted by current Hampton University students, were held throughout the course of the event to keep participants on their toes about different ideas and issues. To learn more about the event, click here.
This was an incredible opportunity for Jonathan - congratulations! We're very happy that you were able to attend this event and broaden your leadership experience!
