Cheerleaders Capture Multiple Awards at National Cheerleaders Association Camp

Varsity Cheerleading Team win awards at National Cheerleading CampThe Bishop McNamara High School JV and Varsity Cheerleaders traveled to McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland on Thursday, July 27th through Sunday, July 30th for a cheer camp sponsored by the National Cheerleaders Association.  The cheerleaders learned a tremendous number of cheers, dances and stunts in the short window of time they were at the camp.  They were rewarded for their hard work and won several awards and accolades including a bid to a National Competition, The Camp Spirit Award, Stunt Safety Award, 2 Coaches Awards, JV Top Team Award  and 4 of the Varsity Cheerleaders were named to the All-American Team - Charle' Robinson, Ashley Smith, Sarai Steglich & Kirsten Stokes. Three of our athletes, Sierra Sweeney, Saumya Garner,  and Alexis White were recognized for leadership and sportsmanship. In addition Sarai was awarded the Top All-American Award and Charle' was offered the opportunity to become a staff member for the National Cheerleaders Association because of her skill and leadership! JV Cheerleaders winning awards at National Cheerleading Camp

The Cheerleaders are looking forward to the official start of the football season on Saturday, August 26th when they will have the chance to share that "Mustang Spirit" with the entire BMHS School Community!
