Posted 10/31/2017 10:42AM

BMHS Foundations of Engineering students were busy building electrical circuits in class on Monday. Along with teacher, Mrs. Angelina Diehlman, students created electrical circuits on a flat surface using copper tape in a design and surface mounted LEDs.

Foundations of Engineering

Foundations of Engineering and Technology is an introductory course for Engineering and Technology Education.  This STEM driven course is designed to introduce students to the field of engineering, with focus on project based course work including the different methods used in the engineering design process developing fundamental technology and engineering literacy. Group and individual activities engage students in creating ideas, developing innovations, and engineering practical solutions, with each student's goal being to develop the characteristics of a technologically literate citizen. Students will demonstrate the skills and knowledge they have learned through various project based activities while using an engineering design process to successfully master the "E" in STEM.

Education is the art of bringing young people to completeness. Blessed Basil Anthony Moreau, Founder, Congregation of Holy Cross
