Varsity Season Outlook:
The Mustangs graduated 8 players and 4 full or part-time starters from their 2008-2009 squad that finished the season with 22 victories. Graduates from the '08-'09 squad are playing basketball collegiately at the University of Pittsburgh, George Mason University, North Carolina A & T University, Wheeling Jesuit University, Lincoln University, and Frederick Community College.
This year's squad will be young, but will bring with it plenty of speed and athleticism. The Mustangs will be led by returning starter Brandon Coleman, an elite wide receiver prospect who has received scholarship offers from football powers Maryland, Notre Dame, Wake Forest, Boston College, Rutgers, Miami to name a few. The guard position will be led by returners Marcus Pilgrim, Ibn Muhammad, Terell Buyck, Tyler Shipe, Quinton Cole, Matt Goldsmith, and Desmond Easterling.
Newcomers to this seasons Varsity team are Devin Bassett, Percy Davis, Marcus Thornton, Callon Dailey, Gregory Shields, Jamal Fuller, Jonathan Middlebrooks, Kennith Tappin, James Carpenter, and Austin Spriggs.
