The Bishop McNamara High School Family would like to congratulate the BMHS Class of 2010 on their commencement Saturday, May 29 at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C.
The distinguished Class of 2010's accomplishments include a 99% college attendance rate, with over 55% of the graduates earning academic scholarship awards. As a whole, Bishop McNamara's 44th graduating class earned an unprecedented $15 million in scholarships and aid to attend some of the finest institutions of higher education in the United States.
We will be sending students to 23 different states across the country, from California to Maryland, from Texas to Michigan and from Florida to Connecticut.
After having served our community with over 25,000 hours of volunteer work, these fine young women and men will continue to "Think with Christ", educating not only their minds but also their hearts, as they "Blast Off" ready for their next adventure. Man of the Year Award winner, Daniel Artin (pictured above), volunteered to tutor HIV positive children in Ethiopia last July as part of his service project.
