Breast Cancer Awareness SymbolScience National Honor Society (SNHS) is leading the Bishop McNamara community in honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month. On Tuesday, October 6 the McNamara community took the challenge to "Go Pink" for the day. Students paid $2 and made sure that at least 50% of their outfits were pink. All proceeds went to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. (see new pictures)

BMHS Student Journalist Alex Vinci (back row, third from left) Featured on Washingtonpost.com.BMHS Junior, Alexandra Vinci, worked with two other students this summer to produce a Washingtonpost.com video entitled “Educating Despite the Economy,” about how the recession is impacting local high schools.  It was created in only five days as part of the 2009 Washington Post Digital Workshop for Young Journalists.
