The Office of Campus Ministry is proud to announce the selection of the Peer Ministry Class of 2011. Over 100 junior students applied to be a part of the ministry in which members of our Senior Class serve as the spiritual leaders of our school community. Through acting as mentors for our incoming Freshmen as well as planning and leading retreats for the Freshmen, Sophomore, and Junior classes, these Seniors bring the message of the Gospel and the face of Christ to our school community.

Mark your calendars and join us for a farewell to our retiring President Heather Gossart on June 10, 2010.
Mrs. Gossart has been our President and CEO since 1996. We invite your to share in this celebration of her great works and dedication to the Bishop McNamara High School community. The event will be Thursday, June 10, 2010 in the BMHS Fine Arts and Athletic Center. There will be a Reception at 7:00 pm with the program starting at 8:00 pm. Refreshments will be served.

BMHS Junior, Alexis Stroman, was a star of the WCAC Championships at Good Counsel this weekend. Alexis won three events, scored in another and was named the Most Valuable Female Performer of the two-day meet in Olney. Congratulations, Alexis.

BMHS Director of Development and Alumni Relations, Jim Palmer '78 was awarded the Catholic Business Networks' most prestigious award, the McGehrin Founders Award. The Catholic Business Network of Prince George's County annually bestows this honor on a person deemed responsible for the continuing success and growth of CBN. Among his contributions to the mission of CBN, Jim has served 2 terms as the organization's President.

Congratulations to the McNamara Baseball team as they closed out the regular season with a record of 12-13 and 7-9 which placed them in 6th place in conference, most wins in the last fours years.
