Bishop McNamara Fine Arts Department presents the annual Sankofa Night 2015: CRISTO - an Akan vernacular for Christ. Cristo is a dance drama depicting the remarkable story and life of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The story has a dual-setting in the hinterlands of West Africa and Middle East, thereby relying principally on both traditions as its source through a complex interwoven of poetry, theatre, contemporary and west African traditional music and dance as a medium of interpretation. This is a uniquely interpreted version of Christ's story you don't want to miss. From birth to adulthood, three-year mission to his passion, and his resurrection and commission to his followers, the dances are designed to creatively depict the story of Jesus.

All tickets are $10 each. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Monday, March 23, 2015 after 8:00 am - MAKE SURE to ORDER SANKOFA TICKETS - via BMHS Seat Yourself. Please be aware of which date and time(s) you are selecting for the performance. All sales are final. There will be no refunds or exceptions.
